HOW TO REACH NUSA ISLANDS

  • Sea - There are three options in Ferries: Local Unhurried Ferry - It leaves the coast of Sanur around 8am, but Indonesian open watercraft usually leave when they are full and cost between IDR 60,000 and IDR 100,000. Adventures last approximately 1 hour to 90 minutes and are a minimum fun and safe option. Have fun while sailing.
  • Perama Local Ferry - Depart Sanur shores at 10:30 am, cost Rp 150,000 and take about 1 hour, but on a slightly bigger and more and more fun boat ride. Have fun on the ferry and enjoy the experience.
  • Quick Ferry - As the name suggests, it is a faster mode of transport. Quick ferry departures 4 times daily, including pick-up at villages, safer and faster boats, fast travel of about 30 minutes. The cost is definitely much higher at Rp 250,000 to Rp 300,000.

HOW TO GET AROUND

  • Car/Bike: Renting out a scooter, bike or a private car is the only convenient option if you want to travel in privacy.
  • Taxi - Taxis are available everywhere in Java (except small villages). Bluebird and Express taxis have a good reputation. The former even has a handy mobile app for online booking.
  • Ojeks - A Motorcycle Transport that only runs around nightfall, it is well-trusted by the locals for daily commute around night. It doesn't have a running meter, so bargaining is not possible, the rates are fixed.
