HOW TO REACH DUBAI
- Flights - Dubai has two international airports - the Dubai International Airport (DXB)& Al Maktoum International (DWC). Carriers such as Emirates, Lufthansa, Gulf Air, IndiGo and Air India connect passengers to Dubai.
- Road - UAE shares borders with Saudi Arabia, Oman and other GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries. Residents of these countries can drive to Dubai easily, provided permit/visa requirements are taken care of. The Road Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai operates multiple AC Volvo between neighboring emirates.
HOW TO GET AROUND
- Metro - The Dubai Metro has 2 lines running straight through town. It is a convenient way to get around, with a ride from the airport to Downtown Dubai costing around USD 5/AED 18/INR 400.
- Cabs/taxis - There are multiple ride-hailing apps which visitors can use, such as Careem, RTA Smart Taxi, and Uber.
- Other Public transport - The RTA has a large fleet of buses, covering 87% of the urban area. Apart from buses, visitors can also use Trams and access waterways using abras(boats) and ferries.
