Flight -

Rail -
Rail transportation in Colorado is very limited beyond interstate options. The RTD rail system provides Denver with urban and commuter rail service to more than 50 stations throughout the metro and Denver areas, including Boulder, Longmont, Aurora, Lyttelton, Lakewood, Golden and Arvada.

HOW TO GET AROUND

Bus -
The main bus service in the area is Greyhound, which has a network of fixed routes and its own terminals in most central cities. The company has an excellent safety record, the buses are comfortable and usually run on time.

Rental -
The Colorado car rental market is busy and competitive, so you can get good deals, especially if you rent for a week or more. If you pre-book a small car, the daily rate with unlimited mileage is about $30 to $40. Typical weekly rates for the rentals are $150-$200. Prices for mid-range cars can be slightly higher. Car rental companies operating in Colorado include Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty.

Bike/Car -
One of the best ways to experience Colorado is by car or motorcycle through its streets and alleyways. Road conditions are generally very good and it's always a challenge to drive into an unfamiliar back road just to see where it's going. Good maps and street atlases are sold everywhere.
