Up to 90 days within any 180 days across the entire Schengen Area. This is a shared clock - days already spent in France, Italy, Spain, or any other Schengen country count toward the same 90-day limit.
Your passport must have been issued within the last 10 years and remain valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure from Croatia. It must also have at least two blank pages available for entry and exit stamps

ETIAS is confirmed to launch in Q4 2026, with a transitional period meaning it won't be strictly mandatory until approximately early 2027. It is a fully online application - no embassy visits, no biometrics - and carries an official fee of €7. Once approved, it is valid for three years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first.
Border officers will want to see a confirmed ticket showing you plan to leave the Schengen Area within your authorised stay. A return flight or an onward bus booking both work - keep the confirmation accessible.

You may be asked to demonstrate you can support yourself financially during your stay - You may be asked to demonstrate sufficient funds to cover your stay through bank statements, cash, or accessible credit cards.
Visitors staying in hotels, hostels, or registered vacation rentals are normally registered automatically by the accommodation provider. Those staying with friends or family may need to complete registration with the local authorities.
