Your passport must be valid for at least six months from your date of entry - this is the standard recommendation from Migración Colombia, and most airlines will check this before letting you board. You will also need at least one blank page for your entry stamp, unless you are enrolled in Colombia's Migración Automática programme for frequent travellers.

A mandatory online pre-registration form issued by Migración Colombia that all travellers must complete between 1 and 72 hours before their flight to Colombia. It is completely free on the official government portal at apps.migracioncolombia.gov.co/check-mig. Airlines may deny boarding to passengers who have not completed it.
Immigration officials will ask to see a flight itinerary confirming a ticket to leave the country within the authorised stay period. A bus ticket across the border works just as well as a return flight - just have the confirmation ready.
Officials will ask for booking information - a hotel or Airbnb confirmation covers it completely. If staying with friends or family, have their address ready.
